Why Lenox Hill Residents Choose MR Primary Care

Lenox Hill is one of Manhattan's most established residential neighborhoods, a quiet prewar stretch of the Upper East Side running from 60th to 77th Street between Central Park and the East River. Its residents range from longtime families in Park and Fifth Avenue co-ops to young professionals along the Lexington corridor, and many want a primary care doctor close to home who will actually know them over time.

That continuity is the whole point of how we practice. At our Midtown office just south of the neighborhood, we build long-term relationships, manage chronic conditions, coordinate specialist referrals, and keep annual physicals, blood work, vaccinations, and same-day sick visits under one roof.

Our team includes Dr. Xequiel Hernandez, MD, a board-certified family medicine physician who sees patients in English and Spanish; Pamela Cameau, PA-C, who brings women's health experience from Mount Sinai's OB/GYN division; and Ester Shavalian, PA, who focuses on preventive care, women's health, and musculoskeletal concerns. All three are accepting new Lenox Hill patients, and you can read more on our primary care doctors page.

Women's health visits are grouped into Women's Health Wednesdays at our Midtown office, a dedicated weekly block for everything from Pap smears to menopause care, birth control, and hormone questions.

For Lenox Hill patients managing heart health or other long-term conditions, the American Heart Association and the CDC's chronic disease resources are solid references alongside the plan we build with you in the office.
