Primary Care Services
For Turtle Bay Patients

Turtle Bay sits beside the United Nations, and many of our patients here travel often or are newly arrived in the city, so travel vaccinations, immigration physicals, and multilingual care come up frequently alongside everyday primary care. Our full range includes:

La Chelle Gopaul

“From the very first visit, they have been thorough, attentive, and genuinely caring. They take the time to listen to my concerns, explain things in clear and understandable language, and never make me feel rushed.”

Why Turtle Bay Residents Choose MR Primary Care

Turtle Bay runs along the East 40s and 50s beside the United Nations, mixing landmark brownstones, apartment towers, and one of the most international populations in the city. Our patients here range from longtime residents to people newly arrived in New York, and many travel frequently for work.

We make that easy. We handle travel vaccinations and immigration physicals, see patients in English and Spanish, and keep everything in one record so your care stays connected as you move between countries or jobs.

In a neighborhood this international, language and paperwork matter. Dr. Xequiel Hernandez, MD is a board-certified family medicine physician who sees patients in English and Spanish and is a certified civil surgeon for USCIS immigration exams. Pamela Cameau, PA-C and Ester Shavalian, PA round out the team with women's health and preventive care. All three are currently accepting new patients from Turtle Bay, and you can read their full backgrounds on our primary care doctors.

“It's very comforting to find someone who speaks your language, understands the culture, and understands the healthcare system to help you navigate it.”

Dr. Xequiel Hernandez, MD, who is fluent in English and Spanish

Women can also book Women's Health Wednesdays, our weekly women's health block at the Midtown office, for Pap smears, birth control, and routine care in a single dedicated visit.
